Good Things Come to Those Who Walk

Time to start planning which 2007 breast cancer events you'll participate in! The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer dates are up (the brochure gave me the idea for this post's title, that wasn't my own idea). I've not done the Avon walk; I'm not sure if this is the year I will start. I've also not participated in Relay for Life but was just asked to be on a team with another survivor I care very much about and I'm taking her offer seriously. I have done the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk several times now -- and know that's a given next October. Then of course, there's the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Since I was first diagnosed in 2003, I've chosen to participate in my local Making Strides walk because it is (1) a walk not a run (2) short and (3) by the beach. How do you choose an event?
